The legal professional title in the Federal Republic of Germany is “Rechtsanwalt” (lawyer) and was awarded by the Federal Republic of Germany, Bar Association of the Higher Regional Court District of Munich.

Since the Act on Strengthening the Self-Administration of the Legal Profession came into force, all lawyers are entitled to be appointed to all courts from the moment of admission to the legal profession. The only exception is the ability to be appointed to the Federal Supreme Court for civil matters.

The Act to Strengthen the Self-Administration of the Legal Profession was published in the Federal Law Gazette (BGBl. 2007, Part I, No. 11) issued in Bonn on March 30, 2007 and on the Internet at www.bundesgesetzblatt.de.

The legal professional title in the Republic of Austria is “established European lawyer” and was awarded by the Republic of Austria, Upper Austrian Bar Association.

A pecuniary loss liability insurance policy meeting the legal requirements is in place with Allianz Elementar Versicherungs-Aktiengesellschaft, P.O. The insurance cover extends to all activities connected with the practice of law, in particular to party representation in criminal cases and civil litigation, activities as guardian, curator or administrator (with and without asset management), executor, arbitrator (also as head of conciliation and arbitration tribunals), mediator pursuant to the Civil Law Mediation Act (Zivilrechts-MediationsG), trustee, liquidator, property manager, forced administrator, compensation and bankruptcy administrator, special administrator (§ 86 KO), provisional administrator (§ 84 KO), forced administrator, member of the creditors’ committee, member of the creditors’ advisory board and managing directors appointed by the court pursuant to § 15a GmbH Act.
